Intelligence as a Product

A framework that designs the experience, the system, the offer and the language of AI together, for B2B software portfolios.

Enterprise software is learning to talk. The harder question is not what the AI can do, but how it shows up, how it is built once for many products and how a customer is asked to pay for it. This project treats intelligence as a product and designs all of it together.

Concept

Each team adds AI on its own: a different assistant in every application, the same reasoning rebuilt again and again. The concept replaces that with one intelligence layer and three ways to show up. Embedded in the interface you already use, assistive beside your work, immersive in a space of its own. On mobile the assistive shape becomes a half-height sheet that can be pulled up into the immersive one. The shapes pass the baton without losing thread, context or memory, and a single layer underneath, with a module per domain, keeps them consistent.

Business model and strategy

The offer is designed with the experience, not after it. Fixed units per capability need reliable usage data to set fair weights, while AI consumption varies with complexity, model and background processing. For a first release, credits are the simpler abstraction: consumption is measured in the backend, converted into credits and drawn from one shared allowance. Tokens stay technical, credits become commercial, and telemetry connects the two. Applications are sold first, with a small allowance included to build the habit before anyone is asked for budget.

Every audience gets its own language. The person doing the work sees outcomes, the administrator sees credits used by team with a forecast, the buyer sees value against spend. Limits follow an order: measure, warn, then limit, and never in the middle of a task.

The outcome

An exploratory framework, not a finished product: a shared language that lets design, product and commercial teams take the same decisions in the same order. The answers change with the portfolio. The questions should hold in any B2B software suite.

Team: developed with colleagues across design, product and engineering.
